Dinner of the Week 6/11/12

 This weeks dinner is a simple one.  We have VBS at our church this week so its a week full of simple dinners at my house.  For the main course its Mexican Lasagna from The Pioneer Woman site.  Her blog is a go-to place for me for new recipes because everything i have made of hers, my boys have loved and the step by step (with pictures) recipes are great and easy to follow. I like this dish because its one i can prepare ahead of time and just pop in the oven when ready for dinner.  For dessert we will have Monster Cookies. What better make ahead dessert than cookies??  My boys love these cookies and i like that i can change up the mix-in ingredients according to what i have on hand.  We have lemonade left from my son's annual lemonade stand he did this weekend so we will be drinking that.  It's Country Time mix :)  Enjoy!!!!

we are making our summer cookies today :)   LOL my son had a lemonade stand for first time he was so happy he did go to Toys R Us later and pufff his money was gone ...

 This was my sons third year to host a lemonade stand for Childrens Cancer Research.  When they have extra money for whatever reason they have to spend it asap, it seems to burn a hole in their pocket.

I can relax a little more now that my girls are nearly grown.
