Eating Out vs. Eating In

The kids were all gone for the night a couple of weeks ago and instead of going out to eat, i actually preferred to stay home and watch a movie and cook a nice meal for me and my husband.  I enjoy going out as much as anyone else, but sometimes things get so busy and hectic that a good meal and quiet evening at home can't be beat.  When i do get to pick where we go it's Olive Garden.  I love their soup and salad!!  Which do u prefer, Eating Out or Eaing In??  And if its Out, what are some of your favorite places to go??

We eat in, for health reasons.  We go out when my bestie comes to town or for a birthday, but dining out is just so fattening.

We really like to go out to eat.. I love to taste different foods and go to local places .

When we lived in Chicago was wonderful so many dishes, cultures and in St.Louis a little small but also nice .. here is no very special but ok.. we have very good local italian restaurants  and we have a great sushi place a little expensive but is not something we do everyday so is ok...

The mexican restaurants here are terrible we have like 5 in the town and they are bad .. I like the asians restaurants as well.. I still need to go the Indian restaurant in town..My husband always joke because he said I should be writting about food but I like to taste the food and talk about it .. I'm glad my best friend here is the same :)

I try to eat at home as much as possible. Eating out can get expensive and fattening!!

I know can be expensive but you can find good, healthy plates for a good price .. We cut a lot of eting out but we still go out 2 -3 times a week .. can be breakfast, brunch or dinner .. when my son was at school I have lunch with my husband one a week so we can talk and not to pay babysitter :)

Me and my ex-husband used to do that when the boys were younger. It was always nice to catch up and talk with no interruptions.

I love to cook and eating in is so much more cost efficient and healthier. But every once in a while, it's nice to eat out. We haven't in a very long time but when we did, we would go to Texas Roadhouse. Their food is very good, you get a lot for the price & it's very filling. Also, it's a fun environment to eat as a family and we would do call-ahead seating, so we felt like VIP when we'd show up and be seated right away while a crowd would look on thinking, "hey, we've been waiting!" LOLWe knew the feeling though, that used to be us until we took advantage of calling ahead.

The kids were at my parents last weekend, and I wanted to have a nice dinner out with my husband since I'm always cooking. Instead he cooked. So it was nice to have a break and still have a nice dinner together. :)

I like trying different foods, too. It's like a window to other cultures, you learn a lot simply by trying the foods they're accustomed to.

We now live in a small town where there are long-time family run Italian restaurants. We have yet to try any of the local places, but then again, we don't eat out very often. Maybe for a special occassion we may plan it, for something different.
