If they won't try it, HIDE it!

My kids can be picky when it comes to eating their veggies, so instead of unsuccessfully convincing them to try it, I just hide them in my meals.  Any veggie I want to add to a stew or sauce, I puree in the food processor.  This makes for a nice hearty & flavorful gravy or stock.  They never see it, but are getting all the nutrients & flavor.

What trick do you have to get your family to eat something they may not like?

That IS a good idea...but I never allowed pickiness from my kids.  They ate it. Period.  They now LOVE vegetables!

I'll do the same!

I started adding carrots to the pasta soup, know I also add celery and sometimes zuchini.

I add spinach and cilantro to the green spaguetti, which already has poblano pepper.

I start when they were babies insignicant cubes of cooked carrot, peas, little cubes of tomatoe at first,we keep on adding as they grow ,we always had salad as part of the meal and alow them to serve themselves,we use raw vegetables with dip as snacks. We grow seeing vegetables and salads.

When I was a wee little girl my dad use to tell my younger brother and I if we wanted to grow up big and strong with muscles we had to eat our spinach just like Popeye!  And you know what we ate it!  We weren't picky fruit and veggie eaters.  My mom got us started young!  To this day I love it all.  Thank God I married a produce clerk from the grocery store.  More fruits and veggies!  Yes please! (:

I began that way too, but seems after school started they began picking up picky habits from their schoolmates.  Now that they are older is so much harder to get them to try new foods or to stick to the ones they used to like.

Ha ha I think Popeye has been a role model to most of us.  Kids nowadays have no clue.
