Ensaladas son ligeras, refrescante y deliciosas.  El plato perfecto para esos dias calurosos del verano. ¿Tienes una receta favorita?

Welcome to the third activity of the Summer Foods Challenge!

Salads are quick, refreshing and delicious.  It's the perfect meal for those hot days of summer.  Do you have a favorite recipe?

Share the recipe with us in a reply or tell us if you have tried any of the the great salad recipes other moms have shared in our group.

Last week I made a pasta salad. I do like salads. But not a big fan of mayo.

la ensalada q me gusta ami es facilicima d aser solo necesitas una bolsa de fritos una bolsa de lechuga lla cortada le pones ranch dressing al gusto y listo (my favorate)

MY favorite Salad is SouthWest Salad! 

Ingredients

Salad

      • bagged lettuce, preferably hearts of romaine
      • 2 roma tomatoes, chopped
      • 2/3 cup sharp cheddar cheese, GRATED
      • 2/3 cup corn
      • 2/3 cup tortilla chips, crushed

Dressing

    • 1 cup ranch dressing, from bottle
    • 1/4 cup salsa
    • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder
    • 1/4 teaspoon cumin

Directions

  1. Mix all salad ingredients together in large serving bowl.
  2. Mix all dressing ingredients together in a cup or small bowl.
  3. Toss with dressing or serve on the side.
  4. If preparing ahead of time, wait to add chips so they stay crisp.
