Very easy soup:
use chicken stock (the jellied ones by knorr are my fave) in a large soup pot.
Throw in a whole small onion, 2 whole carrots, 2 celery stalks, half a fresh lemon, a couple of bay leaves, salt, pepper & garlic powder.
dice chicken breasts
Allow to simmer until all veggies are tender & then remove them all. Remove bay leaves too.
add egg noodles or a cup of rice, & add the carrots back in (slice them if you'd like)
simmer untill noodles or rice is tender. Enjoy!
How many jelly stocks do I use and how much water? I, don't chop the onion right?
Lol I don't want to mess it up

There is no way to mess this up. You can cut the onion in 2 or 4, don't get crazy it's just to flavor the stock. I used 1 knorr stock. With all the veggies & the chicken, you will have enough flavor.
The lemon will help you with your cold, if you like the taste of ginger you can add a tiny little piece (gives it an Asian flavor). Remember to stand by the pot as it's simmering & inhale it all in. :)
As for water I'd say like 8-10 cups. If you have a standard pot, fill it 3/4s full.
Are you making it with egg noodles or rice? If you need any help along the way, PM me. I'll look out for you.
Feel better!

We used to rent yearly a beautiful, huge house in Vermont to go skiing & snowboarding with a whole bunch of friends (20 ppl at times).
I hate cold & snow but loved the house & cooking throughout the week for all in the elaborate, well stock kitchen.
This soup was loved by all after they came back in from the cold. I still get phone calls from our friends requesting this over the winter.

No it shouldn't. Be careful with how much salt you add. The cubes tend to have salt added.
