Funny, I used to only buy the big russets, then I finally tried red, then white and just recently the Yukon golds. I no longer really care for the russets at all. I think my favorite is the red.
Oh, to answer the second part of the question, we don't eat them a lot, I usually just add them to stews or a roast and we don't eat much of that. I don't think I have any recipes that specifically use potatoes.
I plan to create a recipe using a big baker potato next week though for my family. I will post that recipe after I decide what I wish to do.
