We have been dealing with my 2 year old and his picky eating for a bit now. We were told it was mostly related to his sensory issues which makes sense. I love how this article addresses the underlying issues related to picky eating and how it clarifies the whole "they will eat eventually" myth. Most people will tell you that the hunger will kick in and they will eat but my son will not. He can go a full day on nothing but milk which is why we have had to substitute with pediasure.

Good article. I think it really depends on the child and the situation too. If it is a sensory issue then the child truly is not going to eat something that causes them a problem. However, my 3 yr old will eat something one day tell me he loves it then a couple of days later tell me that he doesn't like it and wants to spit it out. I typically tell him to just go ahead and swallow it. After I do guess what he does? Eats more with no complaints. As mothers we need to listen to our intuition instead of what others say. We know our children better than anyone.
