Help! My House is Kid Central!

With 4 kids, it's no doubt my house will attract more kids to come play & hang out, but lately it seems my house is the "it" house to come have fun.

My oldest's friends love my cooking, my 17 yr old is a gamer & the gaming crew loves the fact that we have every game consoles out. My daughter is the only girl & enjoys having more of the female race over & finally  we need preschoolers to take over & entertain our 4 yr old!

While I can't say anything negative about the kids themselves, I love them all & each one is very respectful & well mannered.   I however wish at times they migrate elsewhere.  Know what I mean?

Now with summer coming I know the traffic in this house will increase.  I'm not one to allow my little ones to go with just anybody & I don't want to be the mean mommy & kick their butts all out (although I have), so what do you ladies suggest?

I got nothing.

My mom never let us have any friends over.

I swore I'd be in the cool home where everyone can come over.

But then again, I only have one child. LOL

The kids rarely bring friends over. First of all the house is too messy for company and if they aren't going to help clean it the right way then they aren't allowed to have company. Second of all the few times friends were invited, they either didn't show up or overstayed their welcome.

House is messy?  Oh that's the perfect time to bring them over according to my boys.  My sons have convinced all their friends that in order to hang out here they have to help them with the house chores & can you believe the suckers (*cough I mean helpers) actually pitch in.  They help bring up groceries, walk the dog & even help my boys clean their room.

Geez I never had friends like that!

I rather have my kids in my house.  I don't mind if they invite friends at all.  All my kids friends are well mannered anyways, the worse ones are mine.  The only problem I have is that most of them will stay for dinner(which I don't mind) but they are too picky.  They only like pizza and junk.

I agree.  I prefer them here too.  My post is more of a who is like me rather than a real complaint.  lol

Ok.  I guess I am more like you.  My mother thinks I am too overprotective, but here people rarely ever get to know the parents before they leave kids in there.  You never know what can happen.  I will rather have them here, where I know I won't hurt any other kids. But with so many perverts out there, I want them home.

Although my little ones are too young for friends over they love when their cousins visit and the house gets turned upside down. My oldest that's also 17 and a gamer is usually home and I don't mind if friends come over. I'm glad he's not out getting into trouble or at a place I don't know about.

I completely understand. I was talking to my husband about this the other day.

Maybe a solution would be to allow certain days of the week where the friends are allowed over, that way it isn't taking up every day, turning your home into Grand Central Station, lol, and interfering with family time, etc.
