La tiña (RINGWORMS) es una infección contagiosa causada por hongos. Se caracteriza por unos anillos rojizos que aparecen en la piel o en el cuero cabelludo. Algunos remedios caseros para combatir la tiña son:

Ajo: El ajo es un antibacterial muy bueno para combatir la tiña. Se pica un ajo y se revuelve con jalea de petróleo (mejor conocida como vaselina). Se aplica la mezcla sobre la parte afectada de tiña y se tapa con una gaza. Se deja toda la noche. Al día siguiente se quita la gaza y se aplica el aceite de una cápsula de ajo durante el día. Se repite por dos o tres días.

Vinagre y cobre: Se echan unos pennies (monedas de un centavo de EEUU) en vinagre. Se dejan unos minutos y después se sacan y se pasa el penny sobre el área afectada de tiña. Se hace en la mañana y en la noche.

Vinagre con sal: Otro remedio casero que sirve para la tiña se hace una pasta con vinagre y sal yodada y se pone sobre la tiña por cinco minutos. Se lava. Se repite durante una semana.

Brillo de uñas: Este remedio suena un poco chistoso pero mucha gente dice haberse curado de la tiña usándolo. El remedio consiste en pintar toda la tiña con brillo de uñas. La idea es asfixiar el hongo y que se muera. Pero hay que tener cuidado con este remedio pues puede irritar la piel.

my child got ringworms two months ago, and I took to the doctor and He give me a prescription with NISTATIN CREAM but for my child didn't work, my mom told me about Gelmicin and Is working, but if you want to look in goggle for more information is good.

I can't really think of anything as a home remedy for ring worm. However, there are many over the counter remedies. Any over the counter anti fungal will work on it.
