I'm sure you nail ladies already know this, but I found that if I put a clear shimmer over any of my nail polishes as a top coat that my polish lasts a lot longer. I think it's the metallic particles that make it wear longer...no chipping or wear off.
Here is what I used on Saturday---my nails still look fresh today.
The metallic particles in this one are very fine, not like the glitter polishes.
I've never really used a glitter polish as a top coat but it makes sense. Glitter polishes are such a pain to remove. They just do not come off easily!

You're right, it does make it harder to get it off...but I think it's worth it if it makes the mani last longer.
