We gave 15 lucky moms a gift card to buy Covergirl Tone Rehab foundation and asked them to share their favorite make-up tips with us. Look for their comments here soon. Until then, what's your favorite make-up tip to feel great for a night out?
I received my gift card several days ago for Covergirl with Olay Tone Rehab and went right out to buy it. I was very anxious to try it!
I've been using it for a few days now and I think it's a BEAUTIFUL product! First, the color match is PERFECT. It smells pretty and the Olay serum right in the bottle is a plus---it is SO smooth going on and feels light to the touch, not greasy or tacky.
I actually love the product, with just once exception. It does not quite have the coverage that I need; when I got outside and looked in the car mirror I could see that it didn't cover the imperfections around my jawline, but in the house under softer lighting I think it looked very nice.
I DO need a heavier makeup, my skin is aging (I'm 50) and my skin's hormonal and a little ruddy right now with menopause upon me, so I don't think I'd go one buying this unless they had a formula that wasn't as sheer. I use a cream based foundation at present, and this is a light liquid.
BUT I would STRONGY recommend Covergirl with Olay Tone Rehab to a little bit younger woman, one who is just beginning to see signs of wrinkles; the Olay serum is a good way to start winning the battle of aging before it starts. With the Olay IN the product I think one could skip the moisturizer under her foundation, cuz this is definitely a hydrating product.
So, I do indeed give the product 5 stars, it's just not the best choice for me.
As far as feedback to Covergirl, if you could make this in a heavier coverage formula, using the same Olay serum, I would definitely buy that! I have been using Maybellene's Matte Mousse in the jar. It's a much heavier cream which does hide my imperfections. If you could formulate Covergirl with Olay heavier, I would switch over for good, because the color match was perfect!
So, if you are looking for a lighter coverage, a sheer finish and a foundation that has good hydrating benefits, DO buy Covergirl with Olay Tone Rehab. ...but if you need a stronger coverage, perhaps look to a different Covergirl product and HOPE that they will eventually make one that is a little heavier using the Olay hydrating serum.
I hope I was honest and accurate in my review, I'm sure willing to answer any questions and would be happy to give more reviews if you'd like.
Thank you SO much MamasLatinas for allowing me to take part in the program. I was thrilled to be selected and would love to do this in the future as well.
Again, BEAUTIFUL product!

Always clean your face, moisturize...let the moisturizer absorb completely and then primer, it will give you a perfect base for your next steps with makeup

Hi Ladies I'm Kimberlyrose.
I would say my style is differend every day depending on what mood I am in. Somedays I do comfy, with light natural makeup, or super girly, with brighter makeup.
My everyday skin care routine, I switch between 2 different face washes. One that is more of an exfoliant scrub, and the other is a deep cleanser. If I just stay home, I usually wear minimal make up, I turn it up more during the weekends.
My favorite tip is confidence. I know it sounds cliche, but its so true that confidence can make someone beautiful.
I just recently found out I have PCOS, its basically a hormonal imbalance that as thrown my body into a tail spin. Because of this, I now have frequent acne breakouts.
The foundation I was using, was ok. It left me oily, which meant I then started using face powder. For a person who feels less is more, this was an issue for me. It also didn't have the best coverage, I could still see the redness around my nose, and all the blemishes. I also have huge pores, which I feel the whole world can see. Lol Even though I wear the foundation, you could see my pores still.
Heres a before pic:

So, I was so excited to get to try Covergirls Tone Rehab 2 in 1. Anyone who knows me knows I LOVE makeup.
I have to admit, I was a little nervous trying a new foundation. I've been using my old one for so long, I wasn't quite sure how to find my perfect color. So, I was pleastanly surprized, how fast I found my match.
The first thing I noticed was the smell, is pretty and soft. Then, I put it on, moment of truth.
I was so happy that it took very little to get the coverage I like. All the redness, gigantic pores, and blemishes, invisiable. I liked the creamy texture, and most of all the matte finish, which meant I barely needed any powder. I also love how light it feels, I don't feel like I have cakey makeup.
At night when I take off the makeup, I feel like my skin is left feeling soft. I love this makeup.
The same day I picked up the foundation, I also picked up 2 other Covergirl products. My all time favorite mascara, and some lipgloss.
Heres an after pic, You tell me Ladies, do you see the difference?

My favorite beauty tip is using concealor to cover up after applying your foundation.
Hi, my name is Karla, I'm from Peru, mother of an 8yr old named Diego and I'm 34 years old. My makeup style tends to be a natural looking one, always get the chance to put some makeup on and make myself look pretty when I go on dates with my husband. I was chosen to participate trying the Covergirl Tone Rehab Foundation and I have to say I loved it!
My usual skin care routine includes: cleaning, toner, eye cream for fine lines and moisturizer. As for makeup I always have to have primer, concealer, foundation, bronzer, eyeliner, mascara and lip gloss.
I have mixed skin (dry and grease on certain areas)and have dark undereye circles I got the Classic Tan tone from the Covergirl Tone Rehab Foundation, my skin didn't feel sticky or looked sticky after applying it, it doesn't have a heavy coverage which makes it perfect for me since I like more of a natural look, the smell is wonderful and gives you the sensation of applying foundation/moisturizer/primer all at the same time. I do not have much imperfections on my skin except for dark circles under my eyes and the foundation does not go as much on the fine lines like other foundations will do (making them more noticeable).

After picture. Notice around the eyes how they don't look so dark.
I would definitely recommend this product, easy to apply, smells great and doesn't feel cakey.
Hi! My name is Alexandra and I am a mommy to two little boys. I received my gift card about 2 weeks ago and last week I had the chance to stop by Target to purchase the Covergirl + Olay foundation. I had a pretty hard time determining the color to choose. I am fair skinned so I was worried about ending up with a color that was too pink or one too light which would make me look like a ghost. In the end I chose classic ivory. I haven't had the chance to try it yet but will be doing so soon. I have a belly dance performance coming up next weekend and I am hoping this foundation will hold up the entire day :) Of course I will be testing it out before then and posting pics once I do.
Looks FABULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Which tone did you pick?

I was excited to try this new product out. My skin is combination so oily in some parts and dry in others. I tend to get shiny after an hour or so of wearing foundations. I prefer medium coverage in a not so heavy formula. I think the smell is a fresh clean scent and the texture is not heavy at all. I did like it and I even made the picture my profile pic but below is another one my sister took of me. She did the rest of my makeup for me that day. It does get shiny for me after about an hour like most foundations I've tried. It does even out pretty well though. It does soften the skin and doesn't feel very heavy on. I didn't have to use alot of it either. I have been breaking out lately but I can't say it's the foundation for sure, it could be something else causing it. I would have liked it even more if it didn't look shiny after a little while of wearing it.
