Do you ever see men stand up when a lady enters the room or joins the table in a restaurant? Do they still hold a door open for the fairer sex? When was the last time you saw a man give up his seat on the bus or train to someone who obviously needed it more?
Is your man a total gentleman? Are you teaching your son(s) to be?

When my best friend Katie hooked me up with my husband back in 2010 she was kind of hesitent at first. For starters she labeled me as a "strict christian." But that didn't worry my husband at the time. He was more worried about what I would think of his four tattoos. But I'm not one to judge a book by it's cover, so their for I continued getting to know my then husband. For our first date in July 2010, we went to a Chinese restraunt. He was a total gentlemen and opened the car door for me. Opened the door for me to the restraunt. Pulled out my chair for me. I was smitten! August 2010, he asked me to be his girlfriend, and I accepted. In September 2010, I was rushed to the ER. My body broke out in hives and my hands were swollen. Brian was so worried for me. He met my best friend Skye and her husband at the store and he told them what was going on with me after she found out he was the one I been talking about a month prior. I remember her calling me and telling me not to loose this guy he's the one because he was so worried and concerned for me. In November 2010 the day after my 23rd birthday, and only dating 2 1/2 months, Brian went to my dad and asked for my hand in marriage. My dad accepted. And on Turkey day 2010, in front of family and friends, Brian proposed. With a tearful face, I said yes! We got married on November 12th 2011 the day before my 24th and his 29th birthday. Words can't be put on paper how much he means the world to me. He makes me feel so comfortable in my own skin. I can be bloated from my time of month and drinking hot cinnamon tea and he massages me and tells me I am beautiful. I can be waking up with kitten breath, messy hair, sweats, and an over size tshirt and he still says I am gorgeous and beautiful. For birthdays he surprises his mom, me, and my mom with flowers. For birthday desserts, he bakes my dad's favorite cake. When we go out, he opens the car door for me. And my favorite, when we go shopping or anywhere we go, people stop and stare and smile and comment to one another when they see my husband opening the door for me or pulling the chair out for me (-:
You hit the jackpot with this one. I agree, hold onto this one tightly & don't let him get away. He seems to truly love you. Thanks for sharing your story!

That's great that he still shows signs of being a gentleman. :)

My man still is a gentlemen at times and we definitely teach the kids to be gentlemens too. But not so they get walked in either.

My husband is a gentle man in that aspect. I try to teach my son to be respectful of others especially other women. I am always asking him how he would feel if someone was rude to me or his big sister.
Yes I am a lucky woman with my hubby, he is a completely old style gentleman, open the door of the car for me, help me in the restaurant to seat, wait and walk by my side always, treat me as queen, the way my daddy treated my mom, i was looking for a man like that and I never could found it before, is like man is loosing it now, hubby is 53 years old, so that may explain? lol i am telling my son to be like that, he is 27 years old, but not following
