Is the Adult Nap as instinct as the dinosaurs?

A adult nap is a short period of sleep, typically taken during daylight hours as an adjunct to the usual nocturnal sleep period. Naps are most often taken as a response to drowsiness during waking hours. (wikipedia)

Does anyone know what this "NAP" thing is? When was the last time you were able to take one?

People seem to think that with both of my kids in school full time, that means I have free time on my hands to take a little nap during the day.  Unfortunately that is not the case.  Once the house work is done I get to work on the many volunteering things I do like the PTA at both my son's grade school and my daughters middle school.  Not to mention the fact that I am my son's cub scout den leader and once a week I attend a bible study group and we have community service committments.

1 mom liked this

If I didn't have the TV on while cleaning I wouldn't know what the heck is going on in the world.  It drives my husband nuts that I do that but I will have the news going full blast while doing the dishes or folding laundry.

Oh I wish I could nap!!!  When, my son naps, that means it's time for me to fold laundry, mop and sweep, and do the other things that he usually gets in the way of. Or, I'm spending one on one time with my daughter while my son is napping. I haven't taken a nap in years.  Shoot, I'm lucky if I get enough sleep at night.
