Lately my husband has been commenting on how he wishes I would go out & shop more for household things & decor, such as dishes, curtains, towels, etc.
I'm not a frivilous shopper and usually make the best of what we already have. He on the otherhand wants me to spend my days in the mall doing the NJ Housewives thing. - Blah!
My girlfriends think I'm crazy for not doing as he wishes & think I should take the credit cards & runnnnnnnnnnn!
What do you ladies think?
Honey what ever you heart desire, I hate doing that too, but if he tells me to go spend money well maybe I will, like to decor the house by little things for here and there.. But girl if his giving you the C>C take it spend a little it wont hurt... Well that's what I think..
I have to wonder if perhaps he is hinting you and trying to say that you need to get some dishes because you do not have enough. Do you stay at home? If you do, maybe he is just noticing that you are getting low or lonely and he thinks that is a pick me up. Only a thought. If you don't want to spend much, or you want to make it fun, go to antiques stores or even second hand stores. It makes it fun and you never know what you are going to find. Here in Houston they have excellent antique shops, hopefully where you live too.
I would love for my husband to tell me I need to be more like those housewives on the real housewives show. I would so be at the spa with his credit card getting a 2 hour massage, pedi/mani and my hair desperately needs to get colored again!
Okay I don't want my last post to seem like I am minimizing any concerns you have. It sounds like your husband wants to keep up with the jones as far as wives go. Remind him that one of those New Jersey Housewives had to file for bankruptcy because of her husband giving her the okay to spend freely
